English as a Second Language Outreach Ministries
“Let the peoples praise you, O God; Let all the peoples praise you!” Psalm 67:3
What is ESL Ministries?
ESL Ministries are a platform to facilitate an initial interaction with our international neighbors.
They provide a means for the local body of Christ to extend a hospitable hand to the foreigners living beside them for the purpose of developing long-term relationships and sharing the Good News of Jesus Christ.
Meet Amy Everett
Facilitator of ESL Outreach
Amy grew up at the Cedar Crest Bible Fellowship Church and trusted in Jesus Christ as her Savior when she was young. The Lord began working on Amy’s heart towards missions at a young age. She looked forward to the annual missions week and hearing from the missionaries who would visit. She enjoyed reading missionary biographies and hearing how God worked in many lives over the years and in many cultural contexts.
As a teen and young adult, she went on a variety of missions trips to Bolivia, India, Tanzania, and Morocco. She attended Jackson Hole Bible College. She started working as a Physical Therapy Assistant while the Lord continued to call her towards serving Him through missions. At the same time, she began serving at the ESL Program at her church. She was drawn to the way she can serve people around the world right in her own backyard and share the love of Jesus with each person through learning and practicing conversational English. Amy achieved a certification in teaching ESL through CELTA. She also serves on the Board of Missions of the BFC in order to serve the BFC churches in developing ESL outreach ministries.
Amy desires to help your church reach your neighbors for Christ by beginning your own English as a Second Language classes. She will walk with you every step of the way!
Vision
To see believers of Jesus Christ evangelizing to their international neighbors, those neighbors trusting and believing in the truth of the Gospel, and then joining the local church body as they learn to disciple others.
